Alicia Raquel 

Southern California born and raised, Alicia Raquel was born on August 18, 1993. She is currently pursuing a degree in Marketing at Vanguard University. She first discovered her passion for Arts and Entertainment at the ripe age of 8. She pursued her interest got her first Video Camera from her supportive parents. She then wrote and directed her own scripts. At the age of 17, she wrote her first poem, Words Can't Express. After the encouragement of friends and family she took a leap of faith and performed her first poem LIVE at a College Open Mic Night. A few years later, she released her first YouTube video title, Words Can't Express-From the Heart of a Poet. In December of 2013, she stood before 300 people and performed her second poem: The Silent Killer. On August 18th 2014 she released her Poem in hopes of putting Silence to REST and prompting others to do the same. The movement, known today as, #RIPtoSilence is a new attempt to get others to break the silence and speak up on things in their individual lives that have held them captive and unable to speak up. It promotes a movement of change, growth, and unconditional love of self and others, by becoming more aware of events that are taking place in the lives of those around us. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California where she continues to pursue her passion and dreams through the written word.
